About

The braintrust behind Outside The Press Box:

Elliott covered sports at The Olympian for six years, mainly focusing on high school sports, the Seattle Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks. He was there at the last game played at The Kingdome and its eventual demolition, the Mariners’ 116-win season, too many rainy days at Husky Stadium, the Cougars’ Rose Bowl rout at the hands of Oklahoma, and even WrestleMania.

Chris spent nearly a decade at The Seattle Times, most of them behind the scenes as an ace copy editor, before taking over the paper’s NFL coverage and assisting with the Seahawks. He is the author of two books on the history of the team, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Then Zorn Said to Largent, and is a virtual encyclopedia when it comes to the NFL.

We’ve still got a lot of friends still in the industry, and hopefully they will be able to provide some off-the-record insight to assist our coverage and provide better depth. We’ll also have some guest bloggers providing their unique insight into the sports world.
